Acceptance of Terms & Service Agreement

Welcome to Apex Mobile Shine. By accessing or using our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services
Apex Mobile Shine provides mobile auto detailing, ceramic coatings, membership plans, and specialty add-on services in Honolulu, HI. Our offerings include but are not limited to:

  • Express, Deluxe, Elite, and Basic Wash + Wax details 

  • Ceramic Coating packages (Graphene Lite, Graphene Shield, Graphene Elite) 

  • Upholstery, leather, pet-hair, steam-sanitization, and specialty services 

  • VIP, Express, Deluxe, and Elite Membership plans 
     

Service inclusions, durations, and pricing are outlined on our website and may be updated periodically. We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer for any reason, including but not limited to, unreasonable demands, unsafe conditions, or disruptive behavior.

We provide our services at your location to save you time and avoid traffic hassles.

Please ensure that we have a safe working environment— distractions, just a suitable area for car detailing.


2. Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling
All appointments must be booked via our website, phone, or authorized platform.


Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time to avoid fees.


Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service cost. We prefer not to charge for services we don’t provide, so we appreciate as much notice as possible.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed on our website and may vary by vehicle size, condition, and service type.


Payment is due upon completion via credit card, digital wallet, cash, or Apex Rewards credits (if applicable).


If payment fails, we reserve the right to withhold final deliverables or re-service the vehicle at the customer’s expense.


4. Apex Rewards & Memberships
Membership fees (monthly or annual) grant benefits such as priority booking, service discounts, and loyalty gift cards.


A baseline “Express Detail” is required before enrolling in wash-only plans.


Membership tiers, benefits, and pricing are subject to change with 30 days’ notice.

5. Vehicle Condition & Liability


Customers must disclose pre-existing damage, aftermarket modifications, or mechanical issues.


Apex Mobile Shine is not liable for damages resulting from undisclosed defects, pre-existing issues, or improper vehicle condition. We are not responsible for any damage to aftermarket accessories, custom modifications, or non-factory parts not explicitly disclosed and acknowledged prior to service.


We carry general liability insurance but recommend customers remove valuables before service. While we take utmost care, we are not responsible for lost or damaged items left inside the vehicle.


6. Supplies & Equipment
We use premium products (e.g., Adam’s Polishes, Graphene coatings) and professional equipment (pressure washers, steam cleaners, polishers).


If you have allergies or special requests, notify us at booking.


Customers assume any risk associated with specialized services or coatings. This includes, but is not limited to, potential reactions of certain materials to specific chemicals or processes, especially for older or heavily soiled vehicles.


7. Service Locations & Access


Services are performed at the customer’s location (home, office, or designated site).


Customers are responsible for providing safe, legal parking and clear working space.


Access to power and water may be required; please confirm availability when booking. If adequate power or water is not available at the service location, Apex Mobile Shine reserves the right to reschedule the service or charge an additional fee for sourcing necessary resources.


8. Refunds & Satisfaction Guarantee


See our separate Refund Policy for details on eligibility and process.


We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you’re unsatisfied, contact us within 24 hours for re-service or refund evaluation.

Our satisfaction guarantee does not cover pre-existing conditions that were not fully remedied due to the nature of the damage or the limitations of the chosen service package.


A pristine vehicle requires both commitment and a deposit.

Deposit Amount:  Depending on your selected service, you may be charged a deposit of $25, $50, or $75, which will be applied towards your total service cost.

24-Hour Notice:  Please inform us of any changes at least 24 hours prior to your appointment; otherwise.

Last Minute Changes:  If you cancel within 24 hours, your deposit may not be refunded, but we typically transfer it to your next service. For last-minute rescheduling, your deposit will remain valid.

Cancellation by Us:   If are unable to fulfill your appointment due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances with our equipment, we will reschedule and your deposit will be applied to the new appointment.

Weather Policy: For safety reasons, we cannot perform during severe weather conditions. If such conditions arise we will promptly reschedule your appointment.


9. Privacy & Communications


We collect personal and vehicle data to schedule, deliver, and improve services.


By booking, you consent to receive email or SMS confirmations, reminders, and promotions.


Review our Privacy Policy for full details. We are committed to protecting your personal information and employ reasonable security measures to safeguard your data, though no system is entirely impenetrable.


10. User Conduct


When using our website or engaging with our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.

  • Use our services for lawful purposes only.

  • Treat our staff with respect and refrain from harassment, abuse, or any form of discrimination.

  • Not engage in any activity that could harm, disable, overburden, or impair our website or services.

 

11.  Service Location, Arrival, and No-Show Policy

If we cannot commence within 20 minutes of the scheduled time, we may need to leave for another appointment (please ensure we can locate your vehicle. 

 

If you are unavailable or if the vehicle is locked a $50 fee may be applied.

 

12.  Vehicle Condition and Surcharges

 

Car Inspection:  We will assess your vehicle prior to service. The price may vary based on its condition.

Extra Mess Fee: If your vehicle requires excessive cleaning due to its condition, an additional fee may apply.

 

Limitation of Liability:  While we strive for excellence, we cannot guarantee the removal of all blemishes.

 

Not Our Responsibility: If pre-existing scratches remain after service, we cannot be held accountable. Similarly, any damage to equipment that was already in disrepair is not our responsibility.

 

Personal Possessions: Please remove all personal items from the vehicle. We make an effort to gather stray belongings, but we cannot be liable for any missing items.

 

Engine Cleaning Disclaimer:  Cleaning engines is a delicate process. While we exercise caution, we cannot be held liable for any malfunctions that may occur after service.

 

Photo Video Release:  We may take photographs of your vehicle for promotional purposes, ensuring that your license information remains confidential.

 

AI Vehicle Assessment Policy: We utilize AI technology to assess your vehicle, serving as an additional layer of evaluation.

 

AI Limitations:  While AI can many issues, it is not infallible, and we will conduct a thorough human review.

 

Liability for AI Assessments:  AI assists in the assessment but does not make final decisions. If are discrepancies, please inform us.

 

Privacy and Data Protection:  We treat vehicle images with and will not share them without your consent. Should you prefer not to have your vehicle assessed by AI, please inform us.

 

Regulatory Compliance:  We adhere to all applicable regulations

 

Customer Consent:  AI assessments are the default option, but you may opt out if you choose. 

13. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, service marks, and software, is the property of Apex Mobile Shine or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.


14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability


Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee that our services will meet all your expectations perfectly, or that every imperfection will be removed from your vehicle, especially in cases of severe wear, tear, or damage.


To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apex Mobile Shine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the services; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.


15. Force Majeure


Apex Mobile Shine shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.


16. Governing Law & Disputes


These Terms are governed by Hawaii law.
Any disputes will be resolved in Honolulu County courts.
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remainder remains effective.


17. Changes to Terms


We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting.


Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.​​

  • How long does a detail take?
    The time varies depending on the service package, vehicle size, and condition. A basic detail might take 2-4 hours, while a full restoration or ceramic coating application can take 6-12 hours or more. We'll provide a time estimate when you book.
  • What areas of Honolulu and Oʻahu do you service?
    Apex Mobile Shine proudly provides premium mobile car detailing across Honolulu and surrounding areas of Oʻahu, including Waikīkī, Hawai‘i Kai, Kaimukī, and beyond. Whether you’re downtown or live on the windward or leeward sides, we bring high-end convenience to your driveway.
  • Do I need to be present during the detail?
    You don't need to be present for the entire service, but we highly recommend being available for a final walkthrough upon completion. This ensures you're 100% satisfied with the work before we leave, as per our Satisfaction Guarantee.
  • How often should I get my car detailed in Hawaii?
    Frequency depends on your driving habits, storage, and desired level of cleanliness. However, due to Hawaii's strong sun, salty air, and potential for sand/dirt accumulation 53, we recommend a protective detail (with wax or sealant) every 3-6 months to maintain your vehicle's finish. Interior detailing frequency depends on usage (kids, pets, eating in the car). Regular maintenance washes help extend the life of protective coatings.
  • What's the difference between wax, sealant, and ceramic coating?
    Wax: Natural (like carnauba) or synthetic, provides good gloss and protection, typically lasts weeks to a few months. Sealant: Fully synthetic, offers longer-lasting protection (typically 4-12 months) and often better durability than traditional way. Ceramic Coating: A liquid polymer that chemically bonds to the paint, creating a hard, durable, hydrophobic (water-repelling) layer. Offers the best protection (years, not months) against UV rays, chemicals, and minor scratches, plus incredible gloss and ease of cleaning.
  • Can you remove all scratches and stains?
    We use professional techniques and products to remove or significantly reduce the appearance of many imperfections. However, very deep scratches (down to the primer or metal) may require repainting. Similarly, some set-in stains (like ink, dyes, or old spills) may not be completely removable from upholstery or carpets. We always assess the vehicle and provide realistic expectations before starting work.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Payment is due upon completion of the service.
  • What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
    We understand plans can change! Please provide at least 24-48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less notice may be subject to a fee, as we reserve that time slot specifically for you.73 (Link to full policy if available).
  • Are your cleaning products safe for my car's surfaces, kids, and pets?
    Yes! We prioritize using high-quality, professional-grade products that are safe for automotive surfaces when used correctly. We also opt for eco-friendly and biodegradable options whenever possible, minimizing harsh chemicals.40 If you have specific sensitivities or concerns, please let us know when booking.
  • What do you need from me for a mobile appointment?
    We need access to your vehicle (keys) and enough space around it to work comfortably (like a driveway or parking spot). Our mobile unit is typically self-sufficient with water and power, but access to an electrical outlet or water spigot can sometimes be helpful for certain tasks or extended services. We'll confirm requirements when you book.
  • How do your membership plans work?
    With flexible membership tiers, our VIP clients enjoy benefits like discounted services, priority scheduling, and exclusive detailing upgrades. Whether you're looking for routine maintenance or long-term vehicle protection, our plans are built for real driving lifestyles in Hawai‘i.
  • Are you licensed and insured to work on my vehicle?
    Absolutely. Apex Mobile Shine is fully licensed and insured in the State of Hawai‘i. Our customers trust us with everything from luxury imports to daily drivers, knowing their vehicles—and their peace of mind—are protected by top-tier professionalism and coverage.
